Trello is a popular web-based project management app that’s good for individuals and teams looking to organize their tasks and projects. Trello operates on a system of boards, lists, and cards that help users visualize and manage their tasks.

Trello Premium offers advanced features like enhanced automation, advanced integration capabilities with other apps, larger file attachments, and better administrative controls. But, Trello Premium isn’t free. If you’re no longer needing these advanced features, you can cancel Trello Premium and save some money.

Things to Consider Before Canceling Trello Premium

Before canceling Trello Premium, take some time to consider how the cancelation could potentially disrupt your workflow. This isn’t to dissuade you from canceling the subscription, but to avoid unexpected issues and ensure a smooth downgrade.

  • Access to Premium Features: Post-cancellation, you will lose access to Premium features (once your billing cycle ends). Consider how this will impact your ongoing projects, especially those that are heavily reliant on these features.
  • Team Collaboration: Consider how downgrading will affect your team’s ability to collaborate. Certain automations and integrations may no longer be available which could have an impact on your workflow. Have a new system ready to implement before you cancel your subscription.
  • Exporting Data: Trello allows you to export your data, but some data may not be fully accessible once you revert to the free version. Make sure you have all of the important info backed up.
  • Documenting Workflows: If you’ve set up complex workflows using Premium features, document these processes. This can help in transitioning to the new system you’re putting in place, or adapting to the free version of Trello.

Now that you’ve taken time to consider these things, here’s how to cancel your Trello Premium subscription.

How to Cancel Trello Premium

  1. Open the Trello project that’s using Trello Premium.
  2. Click Workspace settings > Billing.
How to Cancel Trello Premium image
  1. In the Change subscription group, click Cancel subscription.
How to Cancel Trello Premium image 2
  1. Click Switch to free to confirm.

You’ve now successfully canceled Trello Premium. You won’t be charged on the next billing cycle.

What Happens After You Cancel Trello Premium?

Your account will automatically transition to the free version at the end of your current billing cycle after canceling Trello Premium. This means you’ll lose access to Premium features mentioned earlier.

Also, only your 10 most frequently-used boards will remain accessible, so again, be sure to back up your data in advance. The other boards will be deleted, and the data will be lost.

Here are a few important things that happen:

  • Your Workspace can only have up to 250 Butler commands per month.
  • You can’t add new checklist item assignments.
  • You can’t add due dates.
  • You’ll lose access to views like Table, Timeline, and Dashboard.
  • Any custom dropdowns, selections, or other fields you’ve added to cards will be removed.
  • File attachments will be limited to 10MB.

The transition to the free plan happens once your Premium billing cycle is complete, so don’t waste time doing this. Ideally, you should have everything backed up before ever canceling the subscription.

Saying Goodbye to Trello Premium

Canceling Trello Premium can certainly save costs, but make sure you’re prepared for the transition. Consider the loss of Premium features and the impact on your team. With poor planning, canceling Trello Premium could cost you more time and money than keeping it.

The fire screen in DuckDuckGo.

Your digital footprints are closely monitored, and the privacy of online activities is a pressing concern for many. DuckDuckGo, a privacy-focused search engine, promises a solution to those wary of having their search history tracked and used for targeted advertising or other purposes.

But does DuckDuckGo really fill this tall order? Is it a safe alternative to search engine giants like Google and Bing? Here’s what you need to know.

What Is DuckDuckGo?

DuckDuckGo is a search engine that prioritizes user privacy, avoiding the collection and use of personal data for ads. It promotes itself by claiming to give you a private, secure search experience, distinguishing itself from competitors by not tracking its users.

DuckDuckGo started as a small project to improve the overall search experience by reducing spam and protecting user privacy. It grew in popularity over the years, especially now that user privacy is a part of the conversation more frequently than it was in the early 2000s.

Here are some of the key privacy features of DuckDuckGo:

  • No Tracking: Unlike many search engines, DuckDuckGo doesn’t track your searches or link them to your personal information. This means your search history isn’t used to tailor ads or results to you.
  • Encryption: Searches made through DuckDuckGo are encrypted. This adds an extra layer of security and helps make your search activity more private.
  • Embedded Social Media Protection: DuckDuckGo blocks social media trackers embedded in websites. This keeps Facebook from tracking your web activities.
  • Privacy Grade Ratings: Each website you visit through DuckDuckGo search results gets a privacy grade from A to F. This rating helps you understand the site’s privacy practices at a glance.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): It supports GPC, which lets you automatically communicate privacy preferences to websites, requesting that your browsing data not be sold or shared.
  • Digital Rights Management (DRM) Permissions: DuckDuckGo manages permissions related to digital rights, so you have control over content access and distribution settings.
  • Search Leakage Prevention: When you click on a result in DuckDuckGo, it prevents your search terms from being shared with the site you’re visiting, a common practice on other search engines that can compromise your privacy.
  • Device Location Services: Sometimes you need a more localized search, which requires knowing your location. DuckDuckGo will prompt you to share your location with a site instead of it just doing it automatically. DuckDuckGo also won’t store your location details on its servers.

Why Privacy Matters in Search Engines

Search engines are a gateway to the internet. This convenience, though, comes at the cost of personal privacy. Major search engines collect data from users, like search queries, browsing history, locations, and even device information.

This data collection is driven by the business model of monetizing user information through targeted advertising, which raises important privacy concerns. The major concern is that your data is used to build a profile of yourself.

This profile can include intimate details about your interests, habits, behaviors, health concerns, financial status, and personal preferences. It allows for highly targeted ads, which is beneficial for marketing but terrible for your right to privacy.

Also, the collection and storage of your personal data by search engines brings up security risks. What happens if your data is exposed in a data breach? Your sensitive information is exposed, potentially resulting in identity theft, financial loss, or worse.

There’s also the concern of surveillance and censorship. There have been cases where search engines have been compelled by government authorities to hand over data, leading to concerns about the implications for freedom of speech and the right to privacy.

DuckDuckGo’s Limitations and Misconceptions

In response to these concerns, DuckDuckGo has built its platform with privacy as a foundational principle. However, its focus on privacy does lead to certain limitations in functionality compared to mainstream search engines like Google.

One notable area is personalized search results. Because DuckDuckGo doesn’t track search history or user behavior, it can’t tailor search results based on past queries. This means you may need to be more specific in your search terms to find what you’re looking for.

Another limitation is in local search capabilities. Without tracking location data, DuckDuckGo’s ability to provide localized search results is less precise than search engines that use location tracking. So you’ll need to include more geographic-specific info in your query to get relevant local results.

With its limitations in functionality, but strong focus on privacy, there’s a common misconception that DuckDuckGo offers complete online anonymity. It does enhance privacy by not tracking searching or storing personal data, but it doesn’t anonymize your internet activity. Your ISPs or network admins can still potentially see what sites you’re visiting, even if the searches leading to those sites aren’t tracked.

So, Is DuckDuckGo Safe?

New Tab in DuckDuckGo.

DuckDuckGo uses several security measures mentioned earlier to protect user data. It doesn’t track or store your information, and it encrypts all search queries. So, there’s no eavesdropping, and the risk of personal data being exposed or used is significantly reduced.

When available, DuckDuckGO also uses HTTPS connections for all sites that it links to. This keeps the data transferred between the user and the website secure and not easily intercepted. DuckDuckGO also blocks trackers on websites.

So, DuckDuckGo is generally regarded as a safe and secure search engine, especially from a privacy perspective. But, again, no search engine can offer complete online anonymity. You should use DuckDuckGo in conjunction with other privacy tools, like VPNs and secure browsers, for a higher level of security and anonymity online.

Dodging Digital Trackers and Peeping Toms

DuckDuckGo champions privacy where digital surveillance is commonplace, offering a nice alternative for those cautious about their online footprint. Its many privacy-focused features directly address the growing issue of data privacy and security.

Just remember that your search results won’t be as personalized or offer the same local precision as Google or Bing. If you care about privacy over convenience, though, give DuckDuckGo a try.

Changing the highlight color in Adobe Acrobat/Reader makes different types of text stand out in a PDF file. This tutorial covers how to adjust highlight colors so you can customize and improve your documents to suit your preferences.

Adobe Acrobat & Adobe Acrobat Reader are versatile tools for all things PDF. The software offers a range of tools that allow you to create, edit, and manage your documents effortlessly.

What the Highlight Feature Does & Why Use it

The highlighting feature in Adobe Acrobat is a handy tool that allows you to mark important sections or points within a document by translucently coloring your text. It serves as an effective method to emphasize key information, making it easier to locate and reference essential details later.

By using different highlight colors, you can categorize or differentiate various sections, enhancing readability and comprehension. This feature is particularly useful for students, professionals, or anyone dealing with extensive documents, enabling them to extract, emphasize, and review critical content efficiently.

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader

Before we look into how to use the highlighter feature in the Adobe Acrobat software, let’s get the difference between Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC out of the way.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is the free version of the software that you can use for basic PDF viewing and annotations. Adobe Acrobat, available through Creative Cloud, offers advanced editing and conversion features. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Document Cloud) is the latest version of the software which adds cloud-based functions for secure document sharing and storage across devices. The Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version embodies all of the features available in the standard version of the app and also adds premium features like a variety of e-signature tools.

No matter which version of the Adobe Acrobat software you’re using, the steps for using the text highlight tool will be similar (the steps are also the same for Mac and Windows operating systems).

To highlight your text in Adobe Acrobat/Reader, follow the steps from our tutorial:

Step 1. Open the document you want to edit in Adobe Acrobat.

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader image

Launch the Adobe Acrobat/Reader app on your computer. Then select File > Open. Navigate to the document you need to edit and add it to Adobe Acrobat.

Step 2. Add highlights to text.

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader image 2

If you need to highlight parts of your document, from the sidebar open Tools > Comment > Highlight or Tools > Highlight, then highlight your chosen text.

Step 3. Select the highlighted text.

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader image 3

If your document already has parts of the text highlighted: once you open the document in the app, find the place with the highlighted text. Right-click the highlighted text and select Properties (or Tool Default Properties) from the drop-down menu.

Step 4. Change the highlight color.

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader image 4

If you don’t like the harsh yellow that is the default color in Adobe Acrobat, you can change it to your desired color.

In the Highlight Properties bar, open the Appearance tab, and click on the Color field. This will open a color palette where you can select a different color of the highlighter to suit your needs and to change the color of your selected text. You can also use the color picker tool to get the desired color right from your document.

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader image 5

When you’re happy with the selected color, press OK at the bottom of the dialog box and close the Highlighter tool properties window.

This highlight color will then be changed automatically.

If you’re using a Mac, you can use a keyboard shortcutto change the highlight color of the text in Adobe Acrobat. Press Command (Cmd) + E to access the Highlight Properties pop-up window. There, you can change the highlight color as well as the opacity. You can also select More to open the full-sized Highlight properties window.

On a Windows computer, the Ctrl + E hotkey combination will open the same toolbar.

How to Change Default Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader

Changing the highlight color from default to something else every time may be time consuming and simply annoying. Instead, you can set a different default highlight color in Adobe Acrobat Reader to the one you like. This will save you time and apply the new color to your highlighted text every time.

To change the default highlight color in Adobe Acrobat, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Highlight the Text in Your Document.

Begin by selecting the text you wish to highlight. Then select the Highlight icon to highlight your text. After that, right-click the text to open the context menu and access the Highlight Properties as shown in the previous section.

Step 2: Set the Default Color.

How to Change Default Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader image

Within the Highlight Properties menu bar, modify the color of your highlight.

To make the new color the default color for all future edits, check the box labeled Make Properties default in the Highlight Properties window. This ensures that your chosen color becomes the default highlight color for future use.

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader Mobile

Adobe Acrobat offers a mobile version of the app so that you can edit PDFs right from your smartphone. If you don’t have the app installed on your phone already, download it and install it from Google Play or Apple App Store. To change the highlight color using Adobe Acrobat Reader Mobile, follow these simple steps for efficient PDF management on your phone. The instructions are the same for both Android and iOS users.

Step 1: Launch the App

After you download and install the app, open it on your smartphone.

Step 2: Open Your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader Mobile image

In Adobe Acrobat Reader, select Open File to add the PDF file you wish to edit to Acrobat Reader on your phone. You can import the file from your smartphone and let the app detect it automatically.

Step 3: Adjust Text Highlight Color

How to Change Highlight Color in Adobe Acrobat Reader Mobile image 2

Find the highlighted text that you want to change the color of. Long-press the highlighted text to access the Highlighted Text Properties. Select the highlight color to display the color palette and choose your preferred color for the highlighted text.

Step 4: Set Default Color

The recently used highlight color will become the default for future highlighted text. This color will be automatically selected when you highlight text in subsequent use.

After the app saves the changes, you can carry on working on the same document on multiple devices. The mobile app also comes with an array of PDF editing features, including changing the font text color.

What Other Software You Can Use For Highlighting Parts of Your Documents

There are other software options available for highlighting parts of your documents if you’re looking for alternatives. Some of these include:

  • Foxit Reader: Similar to Adobe Acrobat, it’s a free PDF reader that allows highlighting and annotating PDF documents.
  • PDF-XChange Editor: This software provides basic PDF editing features, including highlighting and annotating texts and images.
  • Nitro PDF Reader: A comprehensive PDF reader that offers a free trial with annotation capabilities, letting you highlight texts in your PDF documents.
  • Sumatra PDF: While primarily a lightweight reader, it allows basic annotation functions such as highlighting.

These software options offer various functionalities similar to Adobe Acrobat Reader, including the ability to highlight and annotate your documents.

If you don’t have a dedicated PDF editor, you can also use Photoshop to highlight text in your PDFs. Photoshop is primarily an image editing software and doesn’t offer the same ease of use or specialized tools for text highlighting within PDFs compared to dedicated PDF editing software. So the process will be a little different and more complicated compared to using Adobe Acrobat.

Edit Your Documents in Adobe Acrobat Reader Like a Pro

Mastering the art of editing documents in Adobe Acrobat Reader can significantly enhance your productivity. From changing highlight colors to modifying text, this tool offers versatile features that can streamline your document management process.

Whether on desktop or mobile, these tips can help you navigate Adobe Acrobat Reader like a pro and excel at editing your documents, allowing for efficient and effective document editing on the go.

Canva may not be your first thought for creating a presentation. However, this popular web-based design tool offers a robust slideshow feature set. We’ll walk through how to create a Canva presentation, present it to your audience, and share it using a variety of methods.

Create a Canva Presentation

If you’ve never made a presentation with Canva, don’t worry. This online graphic design application goes beyond creating images and crafting infographics. Canva makes it super easy to create and set up a presentation for your audience.

On the Canva home page, select Presentations below the Search bar. Then, choose a slideshow size or Canva presentation template to get started.

Create a Canva Presentation image

Note: If you’re using Canva Docs, you can also convert your document to a presentation by selecting Convert at the top. Follow the prompts, and you’ll see your presentation open in the Canva editor.

Once in the Canva editor, use the menu on the left side to add slide elements. You can select or drag items like shapes, images, or text boxes onto your slides.

Create a Canva Presentation image 2

You can also edit or remove a slide element by selecting it and using the tools that display near the item or in the top toolbar. For example, you can change the style of text or transparency of an image.

Create a Canva Presentation image 3

Be sure to check out the full set of Canva presentation tools in the editor. You can add animations, insert slide transitions, use the grid view to rearrange presentation slides, and more.

Set Up the Presentation

After you tap your creativity to make an attractive and informative presentation, you can add notes, clock your speaking time, and adjust the slide durations.

Add Presenter Notes

To add presenter notes to a slide, select Notes in the bottom toolbar. Then, type your note in the panel that displays on the left. You can then move to your other slides and add notes the same way.

Set Up the Presentation image

When you finish, deselect Notes in the toolbar.

Use the Timer

If you’d like to time your presentation, you can use the built-in countdown Timer feature. Select Timer in the bottom toolbar to display the timer. By default, the timer is set for five minutes, but you can change this using the plus and minus buttons.

Set Up the Presentation image 2

Press the Play button to start the countdown, the Pause button to temporarily stop the timer, and the Reset button to restart the timer.

Set Up the Presentation image 3

To close the Timer, deselect Timer in the toolbar.

Set the Slide Duration

Maybe you’re using Autoplay (described below) and would like to display particular slides for a longer or shorter time. You can adjust the slide duration for each or all slides in two different ways in Canva.

Use the Duration Slider

Expand the bottom section by selecting the Show Pages arrow. Then, choose Duration on the left to see the default timing for each slide.

Set Up the Presentation image 4

Select a slide thumbnail (page) and hover your cursor over the left or right side of it to display the duration slider. Then, drag the slider in or out to shorten or lengthen the duration.

Set Up the Presentation image 5

When you finish, deselect Duration in the toolbar and optionally use the Hide Pages arrow to minimize the bottom section.

Use the Timing Feature

Another way to change the duration of a slide is by using the Timing option at the top of the editor. Select a slide to see its duration and choose the current timing to enter a new duration, or use the slider to adjust it.

You can also turn on the toggle to apply the new duration to all pages (slides) in the presentation.

Set Up the Presentation image 6

To close the Timing tool, deselect it in the top toolbar.

Show a Canva Presentation

The great thing about creating a presentation in Canva is that you can present from it as well. If you prefer not to download and present using a different application, you have a few options to show your slideshow directly from Canva.

When you’re ready to present or practice your presentation, select Present on the top right. You’ll then see the options below.

Show a Canva Presentation image

Present in Full Screen Mode

Choose the Present full screen option to enter presentation mode. You’ll see your presentation consume your entire screen and have controls at the bottom.

Show a Canva Presentation image 2

Use the arrows on the left to move through the slides and the controls on the right to zoom, interact, use shortcuts, or exit full-screen mode.

Use Presenter View

To see your notes and controls on one screen with your presentation on another for your audience, choose Presenter view.

Show a Canva Presentation image 3

Your screen shows the time, a count-up timer, and other controls for a countdown, AutoPlay, and the font size for your notes.

You can drag the other screen wherever needed for your audience to view.

Show a Canva Presentation image 4

Present and Record

Maybe you want to incorporate your smiling face into your presentation. For this, pick the Present and record option to record yourself live as the presentation plays. You can then share the whole presentation as if you’re in the same room.

Note: This feature is currently only available when using the Google Chrome web browser.

You’ll see your face appear in a circle on the bottom left of the presentation. You can use the Pause and End recording buttons at the top to control the recording as well as see your presenter notes.

Show a Canva Presentation image 5

When you finish, you’ll see a link that you can copy and have the option to download the recorded presentation immediately.

Show a Canva Presentation image 6

Use Autoplay

Like Autoplay for a PowerPoint presentation, this is one more way to present a slideshow using Canva. With Autoplay, you can start the presentation and let it play on its own. This is ideal for kiosk presentations or when you are unable to present yourself.

Show a Canva Presentation image 7

When you choose Autoplay, the presentation begins and moves through each slide using the Durations you set (explained earlier). You can also manually control the presentation if needed using the same tools as the Present Full Screen option.

Share a Canva Presentation

Along with or instead of actually presenting a slideshow with Canva, you can share it in a variety of ways. Whether you want to collaborate with your team, download the file to your device, or pop the presentation up on social media, Canva has you covered.

Select Share in the top right corner and then choose one of the following ways to share.

Share a Canva Presentation image

Collaborate With Others

Maybe you want to work on the final presentation with a team member or coworker. You can grant access to others and provide them with a collaboration link.

Enter the people, groups, teams, or email addresses in the People with access field. Then, open the Collaboration link drop-down menu and pick Anyone with link to provide access.

Share a Canva Presentation image 2

Download a Presentation

If you’d like to save your presentation to your device or download it as a Microsoft PowerPoint file, this is easy too.

Select Download and use the File type drop-down to pick PDF, PPTX, GIF, PNG, or another format.

The need to know the word count of a document is relatively common. It could be because you’re a student who needs to meet a word count for an assignment, a writer who gets paid by the word, or various other reasons.

For PDFs, you can get the word count using your PDF editing software, depending on which one you’re using. If it’s not built in, you’ll need to convert the PDF to a Word doc or use an online service.

How to Check the Word Count of PDF Documents image 1

Use Foxit PDF Editor

Foxit PDF Editor is one of the few PDF editing tools that can provide the word count of a PDF directly within the app and with little effort.

  1. Launch Foxit PDF Editor and open the PDF you want to get the word count for.
  2. Next, click the View tab and then select Word Count.
How to Check the Word Count of PDF Documents image 2

The Word Count window will appear, giving you certain statistics about the PDF. Not only will you see the word count, but you’ll also get the number of characters, pages, and more.

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader? Convert to Word

Adobe Acrobat Reader is one of the most popular and widely used PDF editing tools. Even still, it doesn’t provide a way to get the word count of a PDF within the app. Instead, you’ll need to convert the PDF file to a Word doc, which Adobe can help you with.

  1. Open a browser of your choice and go to Adobe’s PDF to Word convertor on their official site.
  2. Upload the PDF file that you want to convert.
  3. Once uploaded, you’ll see a screen where you can confirm the document language and the document type you want to convert the PDF to. Click Convert to DOCX.

  1. Once the conversion is finished, click Open in Word in the header menu. You can also download the document if you want by clicking Download.

  1. With the document now open In Word, click the Review tab and select Word Count in the Proofing group.

The Word Count window will appear, showing the document’s word count and other statical information.

Use an Online Word Count Tool

If your PDF software allows you to copy the text in the PDF, you can use an online word count tool like WordCounter to quickly get the word count (and the character count, too). Copy the text, paste it into the editor, and voilà.

Don’t forget that this is an online service, though. Online tools are convenient and mostly free, but don’t forget to give privacy an additional thought before you plugin potentially sensitive information into the word counter tool. Ensure you’re using a reputable site that guarantees the confidentiality of your content.

Words to the Wise

There are a few different ways you can get the word count of a PDF document, each with its own set of advantages. Foxit PDF Editor stands out, though, by providing an in-app word count feature. Hopefully, one day Adobe will bring this feature to the table.

If you’ve ever found yourself squinting at your Photoshop canvas, trying to get those intricate details just right, or zoomed in so close that you can practically see individual pixels, you’re in the right place. In this article, we’ll teach you how to zoom in and out in Photoshop, helping you master this fundamental skill that’s key to precise image editing on Photoshop.

But there’s more than one way to zoom in or out in Photoshop. You’ll have to choose the zoom option that will fit your workflow the best.

1. The Zoom Tool

Using the zoom tool is the default way of zooming in and out in Adobe Photoshop. You’ll just have to use the magnifying glass icon near the bottom of the toolbox on the left side of the Photoshop screen.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 2

When you select the zoom tool, your cursor changes into a magnifying glass with a + sign. Use it to click anywhere on your image to zoom in. If you want to zoom out, simply hold the Alt key (Windows) or Option (Mac) on your keyboard and click on the image. You’ll also notice that the plus sign inside your cursor changed into a minus sign.

The keyboard shortcut for activating the magnifying glass icon is the letter Z on your keyboard.

You also don’t have to click on the image each time you want to zoom in or out. There’s an Animated Zoom option that turns zooming in or out into a continuous feature. But first, you’ll have to enable this feature. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Edit in the menu bar at the top ribbon.
How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 3
  1. Hover over Preferences in the drop-down menu, and select Tools from the sub-menu that’ll show up.
How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 4
  1. Tick the checkbox next to the Animated Zoom.
How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 5

Now, you don’t have to click to magnify your image each time. Simply click once and hold until you reach the magnification percentage that you need. However, not all graphics cards will support the Animated Zoom feature. Check if your PC’s graphics card is compatible with the Photoshop version you’re running.

Another way to omit clicking each time to magnify or reduce the image size on your Photoshop screen is to enable the Scrubby Zoom option in the Zoom Tool’s options bar at the top, just under the ribbon. These options will be available only while the Zoom Tool is active. Simply click the checkbox next to Scrubby Zoom to zoom in and out by holding the mouse and dragging it right or left.

2. Using the Keyboard Shortcut

Using Photoshop’s keyboard shortcuts is the quickest way to zoom in or out on your image or canvas. Press CTRL and + (Windows) or Command and + (Mac) to zoom in. If you want to zoom out, press CTRL and or Command and.

If you hit CTRL + 0 or Command + 0 on your keyboard, your image will automatically fit on the screen, whether it means zooming in or out.

3. Zoom with the Scroll Wheel on Your Mouse

Another quick way of zooming in and out is using the scroll wheel on your mouse. To enable this feature, you’ll have to:

  1. Go to Edit in the ribbon.
  2. Hover over Preferences and select Tools in the sub-menu.
  3. Tick the checkbox next to Zoom With Scroll Wheel.
How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 7

4. Scrubby Zoom With the Move Tool

If you’re using the Move tool and need to access Zoom quickly, you can use the Scrubby Zoom feature.

Select the move tool from the left toolbox of your main Photoshop window. Alternatively, hit the V on your keyboard to access it.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 8

While the Move tool is active, you can hold down Spacebar + CTRL (Windows) or Spacebar + Command (macOS), then click and drag the image to zoom in or out. Dragging to the right zooms in, while dragging to the left zooms out the image or canvas.

That way, you don’t have to change the Move tool into a Zoom tool, especially if you know you’ll have to switch between the two often.

6. The 100% Zoom View

Whenever you want to get the most accurate view of an image, you should look at it at 100% zoom. That’s because, at 100%, one monitor pixel will display one image pixel. To quickly jump to 100% view you can select it from the View menu on the ribbon. Simply choose the 100% option from the drop-down menu.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 9

If you want a quick way to jump to the 100% View, you can do it with the keyboard shortcut. Simply press CTRL + 1 on Windows or Command + 1 on macOS.

Viewing an image at 100% is the only way to get the most accurate view. You’ll be able to see all the details in the picture. Of course, you can zoom in even past 100%, but you won’t see more details because the image will be too pixelated.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 10

Viewing an image or a picture at 100% is especially significant if you’re sharpening it. This lets you easily see when sharpening effects affect the image’s details.

7. Navigator Panel

You can also use the Navigator Panel to Zoom in or out of your image or canvas in Photoshop. You’ll find the Navigator Panel on the right side of the Photoshop screen by selecting the icon that looks like a ship steering wheel.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 11

If you don’t see the Navigator Panel in the right-side menu, you’ll need to enable it. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Window option in the ribbon.
How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 12
  1. Select Navigator from the drop-down menu.
How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 13

Once you’re in Navigator Panel, you can click the big mountains icon to zoom in, and the small ones to zoom out. You can also click and drag the slider between the mountain icons to zoom in and out.

How to Navigate the Image While Using the Zoom Tool

When you zoom in on an image, you’ll notice you can’t see all of it at once. That’s where panning and scrolling the image gets useful. There are several ways to navigate your zoomed-in image. Let’s take a look at what options you have and how to use them.

The Hand Tool

The Photoshop Hand Tool is typically used to pan the image from one area to another. The Hand tool is in the Toolbar just above the Zoom Tool.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 15

Once the Hand Tool is active, your cursor will change into a hand icon. To grab the image simply click it, and while holding the mouse button down, drag the image around. This will allow you to inspect different areas of the zoomed-in photo. To let go, you need only to release the mouse button.

Although the Hand Tool is easily accessible from the Toolbar on the left side of the Photoshop screen, switching between the Zoom and Hand tool can get annoying. Instead, there’s a quicker way to temporarily access the Hand Tool while the Zoom Tool is active. Simply press and hold the space bar on your keyboard. This will turn your cursor into a hand, which you can use to move your zoomed-in image around.

Flick Panning

Flick Panning is not a feature in itself. You can observe it as part of the Hand Tool feature. When you’re in the middle of a drag, you can release the mouse button and toss your image in any direction. It will keep moving and gradually come to a halt. But you can also stop it manually by clicking on the image again.

However, you might need to enable the Flick Panning in your Photoshop. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Edit option on the ribbon, and hover your mouse over Preferences.
  2. Select Tools from the sub-menu.
  3. Enable Flick Panning by checking the corresponding box, and clicking the OK button to close the dialog box.
How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 16

Panning With the Scroll Bars

When you zoom in on an image, you’ll notice a scroll bar on the right side. Use it to pan up or down.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 17

There’s another scroll bar along the bottom edge of your Photoshop window. Use it to scroll left or right.

How to Zoom (In and Out) in Photoshop image 18

Panning With the Mouse Wheel

You can also use your mouse scroll wheel to pan the zoomed-in image up, down, or sideways. You don’t have to use the hand tool when you are panning with the scroll wheel. You can use any of the many Photoshop’s tools.

Scrolling the wheel up moves the image up. Scrolling it down moves the image down. But if you want to pan to the right or left, you must hold the CTRL key on Windows or the Command Key on Mac keyboards. While holding the CTRL or Command, scroll the wheel up to pan the image to the left and scroll down to pan the image to the right.

If you need to alternate between panning and zooming with the mouse scroll wheel, you can do it simply by changing the keyboard buttons you’re holding. Use the Alt or Option key on your keyboard to zoom in and out, and CTRL or Command to pan the image.

And that’s it! You now know all the basics of zooming in and out in Photoshop, and you can navigate faster with the panning tools. Photoshop is a complex tool with a bit of a learning curve, so start getting in the habit of using keyboard shortcuts or key + mouse scroll combinations to speed up your workflow.

One thing Samsung smart TVs have in common with other TVs is that they still require a remote control. And like all TV users have found out at one time or another, it’s easy to lose your TV controller.

But if you’ve lost your Samsung TV remote, don’t worry — it’s still possible to control your Samsung TV without it. This guide will explain how to turn on a Samsung TV without a remote.

How to Turn On a Samsung TV Without Remote

There are two easy ways to turn your Samsung smart TV on: change channels and access your TV’s menus without a Samsung remote. Below, we’ll explain how to use these methods to start your TV without a controller.

1. Use the Samsung TV Control Button

According to Samsung, every single Samsung television has a TV control button that allows you to turn it on, access the TV settings, change the volume and input source, and access the Smart Hub. The only differences between Samsung TV models are where this control button is located and whether it’s a single-button or five-button arrangement.

It should be found in one of the three following locations:

  1. At the back of the TV: Check the back of your TV in the bottom-right corner. There should be a small, square section with a control stick poking out of it. Press and hold the center button (the power button) to turn on your Samsung TV without a remote. Single press the middle button again to make the settings appear on your TV screen. Then, change channels and navigate the Samsung TV menus using the control stick.
  1. Under the front panel, in the middle of the TV: Some Samsung TVs have the TV Controller button in the middle of the front bezel, along the bottom of the screen. As above, long-press the power button to turn on the TV, then use the channel and volume buttons to control the TV.
  1. Under the front panel, at the side of the TV: If there’s no physical button in the center of your TV’s front panel, it may be on the left or right-hand side. Check these locations, then control the TV as described above.

Pro tip: Look for the red light on the front bezel of your Samsung TV — this should be where your control button is located. If you can’t find the control panel, no matter how hard you look, consult the user manual; it will explain where to find it and how to use it.

2. Use the SmartThings App

Samsung provides a remote app for iPhone and Android that lets you use your mobile device as a TV remote. The only problem is that to use the SmartThings app to turn your TV on, you’ll need to have set it up previously. If you haven’t, you can still use the Samsung control button (as shown above) to connect the TV to your app for future use.

Here’s how to use the SmartThings app to turn your TV on:

  1. Open the SmartThings app and tap your TV device card.
  2. Press TV on/off.
  3. Select Content search, Remote, Apps, or Search to control your Samsung TV and access the channel you want to watch.

If you haven’t set up the SmartThings app, here’s how to do so:

  1. Download the SmartThings app. If you’re using Android, download it from the Google Play Store. If you’re using an iOS device, try the Apple App Store.
  2. Open the SmartThings app on your mobile phone.
  3. Press the + symbol, then select Add device.
  1. Select Add under Samsung device.
  1. Tap TV.
  1. Choose Start, then select the location.
  1. Tap Next.
  2. Wait for the app to connect to your Samsung TV. If your Samsung TV is from before 2020, you must use a PIN code to validate the connection.

Note: Your Samsung TV will need to be connected to your home Wi-Fi network for the SmartThings app to connect.

One Remote to Control Them All

The good thing about setting your phone up as a TV remote control is that you’ll no longer require that unholy stack of remotes. Instead, you can use your phone as a universal remote and control everything simultaneously.

However, you can always order a replacement remote if this doesn’t cut it for you!

Trying to make a phone call only to be greeted with a “Cellular network not available for voice calls” error message? This error occurs for many reasons, preventing you from placing your calls. Your Apple iPhone or Android phone may be experiencing an issue, or your cellular provider may have problems causing your error. You can try a few ways to fix the issue, and we’ll show you what those are.

Some reasons you have trouble placing calls on your phone are that your SIM card is improperly installed or damaged, the phone’s data roaming option is disabled, your phone can’t find the correct cellular network to connect, your device’s operating system has a minor glitch, and more.

Check if Your Phone Has Network Coverage

When you can’t make phone calls from your phone, the first thing to check is if your phone has network coverage. You can’t make or receive calls when your phone is outside the coverage area.

If your phone’s coverage bar doesn’t show any bars, which indicates your phone isn’t connected to your carrier, move around in your area and see if you get the network.

If your error continues even after receiving network signals, follow further fixes below.

Enable and Disable Your Phone’s Airplane Mode

When your phone experiences connectivity issues, you can toggle your phone’s flight mode on and off to resolve your problem, hopefully. This is because turning on flight mode disconnects your phone from all networks, and turning the mode back off re-connects your phone to your networks, fixing your issue.

On Android

  1. Pull down twice from the top of your phone’s screen.
  2. Tap the airplane icon in the open menu to turn on flight mode.
  1. Turn off the mode by tapping the same flight icon.

On iPhone

  1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your phone.
  2. Tap the flight icon in the menu to turn on airplane mode.
  1. Turn off the mode by tapping the same flight icon.

Remove and Reinsert the SIM Card Into Your Phone

If your SIM card is improperly installed or damaged, that may be why you can’t make phone calls from your device. A damaged or incorrectly placed SIM card prevents your phone from connecting to your carrier, preventing incoming and outgoing calls.

You can check your SIM card’s condition by removing the SIM tray from your phone and the card from the tray. If your card’s condition looks good, place the card properly on the tray, push the tray back into your phone, and try to make a phone call.

Also, you can get a replacement SIM card from your carrier if your current card is damaged.

Restart Your iPhone or Android Phone

Sometimes, your phone’s minor glitches cause your call features to stop working. This may be the case with your phone, preventing you from placing calls.

You can fix many minor system issues on your iPhone or Android phone by restarting it.

On Android

  1. Press and hold down the Power button until a menu appears.
  2. Select Restart in the menu to reboot your phone.
  1. Try to make your phone call.

On iPhone

  1. Turn off your iPhone by pressing Volume Up + Side or Volume Down + Side.
  2. Drag the slider to finish powering off your phone.
  1. Turn on your phone by pressing and holding down the Side button.
  2. Make your voice call.

Turn On Data Roaming on Your Phone

Some carriers require you to enable data roaming to place phone calls. If you’ve turned off this option on your phone, turn the option on to resolve your issue.

Note that your carrier may charge a fee for using data while roaming. Get in touch with your network provider to learn more about the costs.

On Android

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Select Mobile network in Settings.
  3. Choose your SIM card on the list if your phone supports multiple SIM cards.
  4. Turn on the Data roaming option.
  1. Place your phone call.

On iPhone

  1. Launch Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Select Mobile Data in Settings.
  3. Choose Mobile Data Options.
  4. Enable Data Roaming.
  1. Make your call.

Choose Your Network Operator Manually

By default, your phone automatically finds and connects to your cellular provider. However, it’s worth choosing the provider manually when you have trouble placing calls on your phone. It’s possible your phone is confused about what carrier to choose, which you can fix by selecting the carrier manually.

On Android

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Select Mobile network and tap your SIM card.
  3. Choose Carrier on the following screen.
  4. Turn off the Auto select option.
  1. Select your carrier manually on the list.

On iPhone

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Select Mobile Data in Settings.
  3. Choose Network Selection.
  4. Turn off the Automatic toggle.
  1. Manually select your carrier on the list.

Update iOS or Android on Your Phone

If your phone is using an old iOS or Android version, that can cause various issues on your device. An outdated operating system version may be why you can’t make phone calls from your phone.

In this case, update your phone’s operating system to resolve your call error.

On Android

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and choose About device.
  3. Select Software update.
  1. Download and install the available updates.

On iPhone

  1. Launch Settings on your phone.
  2. Select General > Software Update in Settings.
  1. Download and install the latest iOS updates.

Factory Reset Network Settings on Your iPhone or Android Phone

If your phone still can’t make calls and you continue getting a “Cellular network not available for voice calls” error, your network settings might be incorrect. You or someone else may have modified your phone’s network configuration incorrectly, causing the phone not to make calls.

In this case, you can reset your device’s network settings to fix your issue potentially.

On Android

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Navigate to System settings > Back up and reset > Reset phone in Settings.
  3. Choose Reset network settings.
  1. Authorize yourself using biometrics or a PIN and finish the reset process.

On iPhone

  1. Access Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Select General > Reset in Settings.
  3. Choose Reset Network Settings.
  1. Authenticate yourself and tap Reset Network Settings in the prompt.

Contact Your Network Provider

If your “Cellular network not available for voice calls” error persists, your last option is to contact your carrier. Something may be wrong on your carrier’s end, causing your call issue.

You can verify that and seek a solution to your problem by contacting your specific network provider. You can reach most providers online using their official websites.

Solve the Cellular Network Error Stopping Your Calls

You can’t make calls and get an error on your iOS or Android device for many reasons. Your carrier may have issues on its end, or your phone may be suffering from a bug. Either way, you can use the above mentioned methods to fix your error and start placing your calls.

The post What to Do When You Don’t Receive Completed Cash App Payments first appeared on Online Tech Tips.

]]>
Cash App is one of the most popular digital payment services for sending and receiving money to and from friends, family, and anybody else. You can use the app to send and receive funds from anywhere, at any time, for free. It’s usually pretty straightforward to receive Cash App payments, but there may be times when payment shows as completed and you don’t have the funds in your account.

There are a number of reasons why this could happen. Don’t panic! We’ll take you through them, and explain how to fix Cash App payment completed but not received in each instance.

Why Is a Cash App Payment Completed But Not Received?

As we mentioned above, numerous factors could cause a payment in Cash App to show as completed even though the funds haven’t been received. Perhaps you tried to make a payment with poor internet connectivity. Maybe you’re using an expired card, have insufficient funds in your account, or have exceeded your daily limit. There could even be issues with Cash App’s server — or your bank’s server. Below, we’ll take you through each of these factors and show you how to resolve each one.

Check Your Internet Connectivity

You need a stable internet connection to use Cash App, so if you’ve tried to send a payment — or are waiting to receive a payment when connectivity is poor, this could result in the payment showing as pending. We’d recommend waiting until you’re in an area with better connectivity, such as high ground or a major city, before checking to see if your Cash App payment has been received.

Double Check Your Card’s Expiration Date

Another common reason why a payment may be stuck as pending and hasn’t been received is that the person sending the payment is using an expired debit card. Always check the expiration date on your card before using it to send payments via Cash App.

Check for Server Issues

If there’s a server problem with Cash App, or with your bank, this could lead to payments being delayed. A payment could show as pending for some time — usually more than two to three working days. If it’s an issue with your bank’s server, Cash App could show the payment as completed even though the funds haven’t arrived in your account.

You can use a site like DownDetector to check if Cash App’s servers are down. You could also use this to see if your bank’s servers are running normally. Another way to check is to look on Twitter, where you can contact customer support normally.

Check You Haven’t Exceeded Your Payment Limit

Cash App puts payment limits in place — a $250 per week sending limit and a $1,000 per month sending limit applies until you verify your account by sending over your name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number.

Once you’re verified, you can send and receive up to $10,000 per week and $15,000 per month, with weekly limits resetting at 6 p.m. CST on Saturday and monthly limits resetting at 6 p.m. on the last day of the month.

There’s also a daily limit of $7,000 for sending and receiving funds, which resets at 6 p.m. CST daily. If you have exceeded these limits, that could be why your payment hasn’t been received.

Check Your Account for Suspicious Activity

If Cash App detects suspicious activity on your account, they may limit actions to protect you from being victim of a scam or fraud. Payments may be left as pending for hours or days while the Cash App team works to verify that it’s not a fraudulent transaction. In some cases, payments may even be blocked. If this has happened to you, and the payment in question is one that you know you’ve made or are expecting to receive, you can reach out to Cash App customer support for assistance.

Ensure There Are No Typos

It could be that there’s been a typo when sending or receiving a payment. For example, you or the person sending the payment may have accidentally typed a wrong digit or character when entering the phone number or Cashtag of the recipient. If you haven’t received a payment, always double check the sender typed your details correctly. If a payment you’ve sent hasn’t been received after a few working days (or instantly, if you used Instant Deposit), ensure there are no typos in the recipient’s details.

Check Which Payment Method Was Used

Cash App allows you to deposit funds in two ways, via an Instant Deposit or a Standard Deposit. An Instant Deposit charges a 1.5% fee and sends funds instantly to the recipient. A Standard deposit doesn’t charge any fees, but it can take a few working days before funds are received. If you see a payment marked as pending, it could be that the sender chose to send the funds via Standard Deposit. If you still haven’t received the payment after a few working days, you should contact Cash App customer support.

It’s worth noting here that if a payment is sent on weekends or public holidays and shows as completed but you don’t have funds in your bank account, you may need to wait two to three working days from the time it is marked as pending for it to arrive.

Be Patient if Your Completed Cash App Payment Hasn’t Been Received

If you’re experiencing Cash App payment completed but not received, it’s usually best to wait two to three working days to see if the payment arrives in your account, particularly if the transaction was completed on a weekend or public holiday. You could also contact the sender to check that they entered your Cashtag or phone number correctly and verify whether they chose an Instant or Standard Deposit.

If you’re particularly concerned that a payment hasn’t arrived in your account when it’s showing as completed, or if a payment has been pending for longer than expected, you can reach out to Cash App customer support.

Hopefully, this explains all the reasons why a completed Cash App payment may not have been received, and what to do if this happens to you. Before you go, we’ve got some fixes if CashApp isn’t working for any other reasons.

You don’t have to navigate away from a web page that displays in a language other than your own. With each of the major browsers, you can use a built-in or third-party translation tool to translate text immediately.

Here, we’ll show you how to translate a web page in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Opera. For either the entire page or just a portion of it, you can read news, articles, and information in your native language or even in a language you’re learning.

Translate a Web Page in Google Chrome

The Google Chrome browser offers a built-in translation tool in the form of Google Translate, making web page translations a breeze.

  1. When you visit a web page where a translation is available, you’ll see the Translate This Page button appear in the address bar.
  1. Select the button and then your language to translate the page.
  1. For additional tools, select the Translate Options button (three dots). You can then pick another language or choose to always or never translate the language or site.

Translate Part of a Web Page in Chrome

If you only want to translate certain text on a web page, this is another option in Google Chrome.

Select the text you want to translate by dragging your cursor through it. Then, right-click and pick Translate selection to [default language].

You’ll see a small window appear with the translation along with the option to translate the full page.

Translate a Web Page in Firefox

While Mozilla Firefox doesn’t have a built-in translation tool, it does offer an official extension called Firefox Translations. Once you enable the add-on, you can use it effortlessly to translate a web page.

  1. Visit the add-ons page for Firefox Translations and select Enable.
  1. You’ll then be directed to the extension’s options page for allowing data to be sent to Mozilla. Turn on the toggles for the options you want to use and you can then close the tab.
  1. When you visit a web page that you want to translate, you’ll see a translation toolbar appear at the top. Select Translate to translate the page. Optionally, you can adjust the languages if needed or check the boxes for additional tools.
  1. You can also open the Options menu for more settings.

Translate Part of a Web Page in Firefox

Maybe you only want to translate a portion of the selected text on the web page. With the Firefox Translations extension, it’s easy.

Select the text on the page you want to translate, right-click, and pick Translate with Firefox Translations.

You’ll then see the translation in a pop-up window where you also have the option to change the language(s).

Translate a Web Page in Microsoft Edge

Like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge provides a built-in translation tool using Microsoft Translator which is similar to Google Translate.

  1. To enable the feature, select the gear icon on the bottom right to open the Settings.
  1. Choose Languages on the left of the subsequent screen and turn on the toggle for Offer to translate pages that aren’t in a language I read. Note that you can add and reorder your preferred languages directly above the toggle.
  1. When you land on a web page where a translation is available, you’ll see the Show Translate Options button appear in the address bar.
  1. Change your default language if necessary and pick Translate.
  1. You can also select More to choose additional translation options.

Translate Part of a Web Page in Edge

With the built-in translator in Edge, you can also translate part of a web page.

Select the text you want to translate, right-click, and choose Translate selection to [default language].

You’ll then see that portion of the web page update, rather than a separate pop-up window, to display the translation.

Translate a Web Page in Safari

Another browser with its own translation feature is Apple’s Safari web browser.

  1. To see if a translation is available for a website you’re visiting, hover your cursor over the Translate icon in the address bar. If applicable, you’ll see “Translation Available” appear.
  1. Select the Translate icon and choose the translation language from your list of preferred options and you’ll then see the page update for you.
  1. Select the Translate button to change the languages in your list and pick Preferred Languages.
  1. Then, use the plus sign button at the bottom of the Preferred Languages list to add another or the minus sign button to remove one.

Translate Part of a Web Page in Safari

Like the browsers above, you can translate a portion of a web page in Safari as well.

Select the text, right-click, and choose Translate “[selected text].”

You’ll then see the translation in a pop-up window with options to hear the text spoken out loud or copy the translation.

Translate a Web Page in Opera

The Opera web browser doesn’t have a built-in translation tool or an official add-on. However, there are many translator extensions you can pick from with two popular options below.

Translator

Once you install the free Translator extension, you can translate an entire web page or a specific portion quickly.

To translate the current page, select the Translator button in your toolbar. In the pop-up window, optionally pick your language at the top and then use the link at the bottom for “Translate active page.”

To translate a part of the page instead, select the text with your cursor. Then, use the Translator button to view the translation in a pop-up window.

Google Translate

The Google Translate extension for Opera works similarly to the Translator option above. You can translate the whole page or just a certain part.

To translate the current page, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + P. You should then see the page translated and the translation toolbar appears at the top. Use the toolbar to choose a different language or view the original language.

To translate a portion of the page instead, select the text. Then, use the Google Translate button in the toolbar to see the translation in a pop-up window along with options to copy, listen, or change the text size.

Take Down the Language Barrier

There are plenty of terrific websites out there all over the world. Why stop visiting one because it’s in a language other than your own? Whichever browser on our list is your favorite, you have an easy way to translate a web page.

For more, look at language learning apps that can teach you to speak in a different dialect.

If you already use the digital payment service Cash App to send and receive money, you’ll be aware of just how important it is to have a secure PIN or password to protect the security of your account. But what happens if you forget your Cash App PIN or password? Or if you want to change your PIN to something more memorable or secure? It’s easy to reset the Cash App’s password. We’ll show you how to change your password on Cash App — or change your PIN, if that’s what you’re using.

How to Change Cash App Password

There are two ways to reset the Cash App password or PIN, either using the app or online, through the Cash App site in your mobile or desktop browser. We’ll show you how to do both, so you can change your password on Cash App wherever you are.

How to Reset Your Cash App Password Using the App

The quickest and most convenient way to change your Cash App password or PIN is by using the mobile app. If you’ve forgotten your password, here’s how to change it in the app:

  1. Open Cash App on your mobile device.
  2. From the home screen, tap the Profile icon.
  3. Select Security & Privacy > Change Cash PIN.
  4. You’ll need to enter your old Cash App PIN.
  5. Then, choose and confirm your new PIN or password.

How to Reset Forgotten Cash App Password in the App

If you’ve forgotten your existing PIN, here’s how to reset it:

  1. Follow steps 1 through 3 above.
  2. Then, tap Forgot Cash PIN > I forgot my Cash PIN, and you’ll be sent a verification code to the email address or phone number registered to your account.
  3. Enter the code to continue resetting your PIN.

You can now log into Cash App using your new PIN or password — but make sure to store it somewhere safe so you don’t forget it this time.

How to Change Cash App Password in Your Browser

If you don’t have your mobile device handy, you can change your Cash App PIN or password through the Cash App site in your browser on a desktop computer or mobile device. Here’s how to change your password on Cash App through your browser.

  1. In your browser of choice, go to cash.app/account.
  2. Log into your account — you may need to enter your PIN to continue logging in.
  3. Click Account from the bottom of the left toolbar to open Settings.
  4. Under Security & Privacy, select Change Cash PIN.
  1. Enter your current PIN.
  2. Then, you’ll be asked to enter and re-confirm your new PIN.
  3. You should receive a text message or email confirming you’ve changed your PIN.

How to Change a Forgotten Cash App Password in Your Browser

If you’ve forgotten your password, resetting it is similar to the above steps.

  1. Follow steps 1 through 4 above.
  2. When prompted to enter your current PIN, select Forgot PIN?
  3. You should see a box saying you’ve been sent a verification code (either to your account email address or phone number). In some cases, you’ll receive a code in your email and phone number and will need to enter both.
  4. Enter the code from the email or text message to continue resetting your PIN, then select Continue.
  5. Enter your new PIN of choice, then confirm it.

As you can see, changing your Cash App password takes just a few minutes, and you can do it through the mobile app or the Cash App website, depending on your preferences. If your Cash App isn’t working after you’ve changed your PIN, or if you experience any other issues, you can contact Cash App support for help.

Whether you have a brand-new Samsung smart TV with a QLED display or an older Samsung TV model, a reboot is an easy fix that can help solve any glitches that you’re experiencing.

In this troubleshooting article, we’ll explain how to restart a Samsung TV, then we’ll provide a few extra device care tips to get it running better than ever.

How to Restart a Samsung TV

There are a few ways to restart Samsung TVs, including:

  • Press the power button on the Samsung TV remote control: Press the power button, then wait for the TV to turn off. Press the power button again to reboot it. If the TV isn’t responding, press and hold the power button for a few seconds. This will cause it to cold boot.
  • Press the power button on the Samsung TV: Find the external power button on the TV itself. It’s usually along the bezel, somewhere near the front right-hand corner of the screen. Once your TV turns off, wait a few seconds then turn it back on.
  • Unplug the power adapter: If your TV won’t reboot via the power button, try power cycling the device. Because most TVs enter standby mode when turned off, a soft reset can be more effective. Try unplugging the TV’s power cord. Press and hold the power button and wait for 30 seconds to discharge any residual electricity. Then, boot the TV back up again.

Note: If you’re having other issues, like a blurry or fuzzy TV screen, or a black screen, a simple restart might not solve the issue. Instead, you might have to do some more in-depth troubleshooting via Samsung’s Expert Settings menu.

How to Factory Reset Samsung TVs

If restarting your TV doesn’t fix the problem, you can try performing a hard reset. This will erase all of your smart TV data, delete anything you’ve installed in the Smart Hub, and revert the TV’s software and firmware to factory default settings. Here’s how to perform a factory reset:

  1. Press the Home button on your Samsung remote.
  2. Choose the TV Settings menu (or press the Menu button).
  3. Select Support > Self Diagnosis (depending on the TV model, the following settings might also be found in System, General & Privacy, or General).
  4. Choose the Reset option, then enter the 4-digit PIN. The default PIN code is 0000.
  1. Choose Yes, then wait for the TV to reset to factory settings.

Note: Before resorting to a factory reset, you could try running a Self Diagnosis on your TV to determine what’s going wrong. To do so, press Settings, select Support, and press Self Diagnosis. You could also try performing a software update, or press reset Smart Hub to clear your TV app cache.

Contact Samsung Customer Support

If all else fails, try contacting Samsung’s Customer Support team. They might be able to help you run through the user manual and determine exactly what’s going wrong with your TV. If your TV is broken, they might be able to help you get a replacement on warranty.

The post 5 Ways to Check an Image for Copyright first appeared on Online Tech Tips.

]]>
If you use copyrighted images in your content without permission, you could be at risk of legal action. This is why it’s important to check the copyright of any image you find before using it.

By law, every image is copyrighted as soon as it’s created, but you’ll want to check who owns the copyright, whether you’re allowed to use it, and if any terms apply for usage—for example, you may need to credit the original creator. It’s usually easy to find this information.

1. Check the Image for Copyright Information

To check an image for copyright information, look in the credits. There may be a caption including the name of the photographer or creator, and/or their contact information. You can use this information to look the person up and contact them to ask if you can use their image in your content. You may need to pay them a fee to license the image or agree to terms such as crediting them when you use it.

2. Check the Metadata

An image’s metadata—also known as EXIF data—is embedded information about that image that you can easily access to see if there’s any clue who created it. Here’s how to check an image’s metadata:

  • Windows: Right-click the image, select Properties, and switch to the Details tab. You may see the image’s creator listed.
  • macOS: Open the image in Preview, then click Tools > Show Inspector. Click the Info icon and select the EXIF tab to view the image’s metadata.

Note that you won’t always find details about an image’s creator or copyright information in metadata, but it’s always worth checking.

Check the Metadata image

3. Look for a Watermark

Some photographers and digital content creators will watermark their images to prevent others from using them. If the image you’ve downloaded has a watermark, it’s copyrighted and you’ll normally be able to see the name or details of the creator. You can contact them to find out if you can purchase a license to use the image in your content.

Note: There are programs out there designed to remove watermarks from images, but you’ll be breaking copyright laws if you use this type of software to attempt to remove somebody else’s watermark. Always contact the creator of the image, or, if in doubt, find another image to use.

4. Use Reverse Image Search

If none of the above methods have worked for you, and you’re still no closer to figuring out who holds the copyright for the image you want to use, why not try a reverse image search? You can either use Google Reverse Image Search or the similar Visual Search available in Bing.

Using Google Reverse Image Search

  1. Open Google Image Search in your browser.
  2. Click the Camera icon, then either drag your image onto the window, upload a file from your device or copy/paste the image URL to search for it.
  3. Google Image Search will display results that could help you discover who created the image and who holds the copyright for it.
  4. You can then contact the copyright holder to see if you can use the image.
Use Reverse Image Search image

Using Bing Visual Search

Bing Visual Search is similar to Google Reverse Image Search. Here’s how to use it to check an image for Copyright information:

  1. Open Bing Visual Search in your browser.
  2. You can drag and drop your image, upload a file from your device by selecting Browse, copy and paste the image URL, take a photo, or search for an image online.
Use Reverse Image Search image 2

Though Reverse Image Search and Bing Visual Search are pretty good at finding out who created an image, these tools are not foolproof and if they don’t work, there’s one thing left that you could try.

5. Check the US Copyright Office Database

If you’ve exhausted all the other methods above and you’re still no closer to finding out whether an image is copyrighted, you could try checking the US Copyright Office Database. It’s important to note that you’ll need to know some information about the image to do this, such as the image title or the name of the photographer.

Check the US Copyright Office Database image

As mentioned above, all images are copyrighted automatically from the moment of creation, but some creators may take an extra step and register their work with the US Copyright Office as this affords them protection should somebody steal their image. If you can’t find the image you’re looking for here, it may not have been registered. This does not mean you can use it freely. You’ll still need to find out who holds the copyright for the image and contact them for permission to use it — or just choose another image.

Always Check an Image for Copyright Before Using It!

As you can see, there are various ways to check an image for copyright, depending on whether it’s watermarked, has metadata, or was registered with the US Copyright Office. The one thing to remember is this: You must always get permission from whoever owns the image to use it in your content unless the license states otherwise. Note that this doesn’t apply to images found on free sites such as Unsplash, where you can freely use images and should credit the creator.

If you use Slack for work, it’s likely your most important communication tool. We’ll walk you through how to change and reset your Slack password. If you’re a Slack admin or workspace owner, you can reset all members’ passwords simultaneously.

Note: Whether changing or resetting your current password, remember that the password must be at least six characters long and cannot be a previous password.
